| The main purpose of the PoE kit is to send power and data over ethernet cable to a device which must be located where there is no easy access to electrical power. The PoE kit complies with the IEEE 802.3af standard and can supply power and data over a single ethernet cable to end devices such as IP phones, Access Point Devices or Web cameras. The PoE kit works with many PoE compliant end devices of different vendors. The PoE kit consists of a PoE Injector which puts the power and data into a single ethernet cable, and a PoE Splitter which splits separates out the power and data. Devices are protected against short-circuit and overload. The maximum length of Ethernet cable between Injector and Splitter is 100 meters. The maximum length depend on cable quality. We recommend to use shielded Cat 5e cable. We can supply PoE kits with either a 5V or 7.5V or 12V PoE Splitter. It is possible to buy PoE Injector separately. | |||||||||||||
